Address search tips
If you are having problems entering an address, try the following:
-
Ensure that you select the matching address from the drop down list that will
appear once you start entering an address. If the address that you are
seeking doesn't appear in the list, try just entering the street name and
viewing the search results, or selecting 'view map' and locating the property
on a map.
-
Do you live in a flat or apartment? If so try entering the address
as; 12B Fernwood Court, or 1/12 Fernwood Court. Note that some flats will
have an "F" or "U" indicating flat or unit at the front of the number, eg F1/12
Fernwood Court.
-
If none of these tips has worked for you then try using the legal or valuation
details search options if you know those details.
Multiple property search tips
To search for a property by address, follow these steps:
-
Select a region
-
Enter the street name in the “Street” field, Note: When entering a street name
you only need to enter the first few letters of the name. A dropdown list
of matching names is then displayed. Select the correct name from the
list.
-
Enter the street number or number range in the “Number” fields
-
Enter the additional number (optional), Note: The 'Additional No.' field is
used for searching properties whose street number contains 'a's and 'b's' or
for properties with suffixes like 1/50. If left blank the database will search

tips
If you are having problems entering a valuation reference, try the following:
-
The standard format for valuation reference numbers is 1234/1000
-
Are you trying to enter a valuation reference for an Auckland City Council
property? If so, they may appear slightly different e.g. 6 / 0740 /
166 / 03 / 05. To enter these types of valuation reference numbers enter
the first group of numbers, e.g. “6”, followed by a "/" then all other numbers
ignoring the first 0, e.g. “7401660305”. So the end up with
"6/7401660305".
