GRADUATE PROGRAMME

Each year QV recruits new property qualified graduates for its graduate development programme – an important way the company develops people to contribute to its future development.

The programme assists entry graduates through the company to registration. It begins by providing a structured induction into QV, its systems and work processes. From there, graduates begin the process of developing their valuation skills, gaining experience with the valuation of a variety of property types for a variety of purposes. The programme starts graduates early on the process of developing a portfolio of valuation reports that they will later use in applying for their registration. Throughout the programme, graduates can expect work opportunities in varied locations which will extend their knowledge of the overall New Zealand property market.

 QV'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Quotable Value's scholarship programme is an example of QV's commitment to its people and the industry. The programme recognises and rewards the accomplishments of undergraduates who excel in their studies, succeed in extra-curricular activities, are looking to pursue a career in property valuation, and have a positive attitude to the opportunities QV can offer them.

Every academic year, the QV scholarship programme selects several outstanding full-time undergraduates from throughout the country who are majoring in Valuation and Property Management or Rural Valuation at a New Zealand University. QV awards them a monetary grant of $3,500 to help pay for their final- year university fees and an employment offer to commence at the completion of studies. QV has a number of offices throughout New Zealand and Australia, so scholarship recipients need to be flexible about location for the initial period of employment.

Eligibility

The following eligibility requirements apply for this programme:

  • You must be eligible to work in New Zealand upon completion of your studies.
  • You must be majoring in property at Lincoln, Massey or Auckland universities.
  • You must be intending to become registered as a valuer.
  • You must be able to provide evidence of success outside of the university environment.
  • You must produce evidence that you have been accepted for your final year of study. (This only needs to be produced on acceptance of the scholarship.)

Recipients need to pass all the necessary papers to gain the property qualification. The award may be withdrawn or suspended at any time if a recipient fails to make satisfactory academic progress. Recipients may also have to co-operate with promotional publicity related to the scholarship.
