Changes to Owner Search
We have recently restricted the ability to search for properties based on owners' name. Previously, such a search could be carried out by any user of QV.co.nz website. This search functionality was being misused by some users, sometimes for malicious purposes, and it was not possible to identify these users.
The changes that we have made mean that the search is still possible, but only if you are a registered subscriber. We recognise that there are legitimate reasons for searching for properties by owners' name, for example for banks, insurance companies or lawyers to confirm asset ownership. However there are few legitimate uses for this search by members of the public. Remember it is still possible to find or confirm the owners of a particular property by purchasing a certificate of title overview report for that property.
By registering as a subscriber you will still be able to search for owners free of charge.

Automatic emailing of reports
One of our most frequent calls to our helpdesk are customers requesting a copy of the property report they've just purchased.
To make things easier all reports purchased by casual users will be automatically emailed to their nominated email address (their username).
