To use all of the features of this site and particularly our online property information, it is recommended that you have the following:

Web browsers

We fully support the following web browsers; Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla Firefox2.0 (or later). 

Java enabled browser

Java is required to be able to use the full features of our mapping facility. You can check to see if you have Java enabled by checking the following settings in these common browsers. Otherwise some users may need to download SUN Java.

Even with this setting turned on you may still not be able to use the Java enabled map controls if your PC is part of a company network that has other security controls in place preventing Java being enabled. In this case you will need to contact your company’s system administrator. 

Session cookies enabled

If you do not have session cookies enabled, you will not be able to login or use the site correctly.

A session cookie is a small file that gets stored on your computer that enables you to log in. The session cookie used by QV contains no personal information and is automatically deleted when you close your browser.

Cookie options are controlled in your browser preferences which vary depending on which browser you use. You can enable session cookies and still have other cookies disabled. Outlined below is where to go to turn cookies on in the most common browsers.

Cookies can also be affected if you are behind a firewall that prevents cookie information being sent through, or you are using browsing acceleration software, as this sometimes removes the cookie data. For instructions to allow session cookies to be used with your firewall see your firewalls help function, or contact your company’s system administrator.

JavaScript enabled

You need to have JavaScript enabled to use all of the features of this website including our menu and mapping facility. JavaScript is not the same as Java and both must be enabled/installed to access all the features of this site.

JavaScript options are controlled in your browser security settings which vary depending on which browser you use. Outlined below is where to go to turn JavaScript on in the most common browsers.

800 x 600 resolution or higher for best viewing of this website. Click Start (bottom left on your monitor) / Settings / Control Panel / Display / Settings / Screen area (to modify)
