  1. Street address The location of the property.
  2. Territorial authority The Territorial Authority is the Local Council that levies rates on the property.

Information status

  1. Information last updated on The date the LINZ data is current to.
  2. Report date The date the report was run.

Certificate of title

  1. Certificate of title reference A title is a record of all estates, encumbrances and easements that affect a parcel of land.  Not all properties have a COT reference record available.  See glossary for more information
  2. Land registration district The Land District the title is in
  3. Date title issued The date on which the title was first issued.
  4. Register type Indicates the register the title is contained in.
  5. Prior title reference This contains the prior title reference, if applicable.

Legal information and references

  1. Legal description The legal description is used to identify a parcel of land.  See glossary for more information.
  2. Land area The area of the property, in hectares. Where no size is given, it can be assumed that no specific area can be ascribed to the property.
  3. Estate type An estate is a type of ownership of a piece of land e.g. fee simple estate, leasehold estate.
  4. Owners The names registered on the title.

Interests

  1. Interests Interests against a property can be categorised into encumbrances (e.g. caveat, lease, easement) or titles instruments (e.g. land transfer documents, building line restriction).
