Why QV
Who We Are
We strive to sustain and develop our people within our competitive market, through flexible work options, study support and programmes to promote our future leaders. We support our people to lead healthy lives with flexibility to balance their personal and work lives.
We want all our people to be comfortable and proud to bring their true selves to work every day. We work together and celebrate diversity, always showing each other respect – regardless of background, gender, age, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or level of experience.
We also support our team members who are members of the Property Institute of NZ to complete the required 20 hours of continuing professional development each year.
Development does not end there. Our Future Leaders programme provides an opportunity to further identify and nurture key talent throughout the graduate journey. This means that upon attaining their registration as a valuer, they are primed to take the next step in their career at QV.
Our Culture
Our warm, diverse, family-first culture is at the heart of our many successes. Join our QV whānau and take your career to the next level at a company that values you, your learning, wellbeing and whānau.
Who we are and what we stand for:
We want to make QV the employer of choice for property consultants all over Aotearoa New Zealand and in New South Wales. With a footprint that stretches all the way from Cape Reinga to the Bluff (including the Chatham Islands), we offer a wide range of opportunities – not just in position, but also in the diversity of work we undertake – through our various locations.
On top of that, you will get to work alongside some of the best and most experienced property consultants in the industry.
Backed by more than 125 years (and counting) of experience, QV provides trusted property intelligence to help government, business and the public make better decisions. We’re proud to be owned by New Zealand as a state-owned enterprise.
Diversity is the key to our success:
We are a diverse and inclusive company, fostering a strong sense of belonging within our QV whānau. We want you to be comfortable and proud to bring your true self to work each and every day.
Our national presence and size across NZ, assists us in making a focus on our people’s career and development a priority. From internal mobility to career progression opportunities, there’s plenty of breadth to learn and gain career experiences at QV.
Your development:
Nothing is more important than our QV whānau and the knowledge, skills, and values they bring to their work. That’s why we encourage a culture of learning and are committed to supporting our people to keep their knowledge and skills up to date and relevant. We aim to grow our people into experts and leaders, so it’s important for us that they feel happy, supported, and confident in their roles.
To support your development and career, we continue to invest in online learning platforms, offer a weekly learning hour, and provide study assistance to support our people.
Learning Hour is your dedicated time to learn something new every week. It’s about making a weekly habit to learn, upskill, and keep up with industry trends or movements. This may involve on-the-job, online training, shadowing a senior valuer, being mentored, reading, or teaching. We want you to take control of what and how you learn!
We support and assist our people through study assistance, so you can take part in university or equivalent courses, to develop your role and ultimately further your career with QV.
Our Values
Though our QV whānau is spread right across Aotearoa and in New South Wales, we are always on the same page, working towards the same goals and aspirations, together. We have one set of values to support our future aspirations.
