The QV class of 2022 – part 2

Last week, we welcomed the next generation of exceptionally talented women into the valuation industry in an article to coincide with International Women’s Day. Now we’d like to introduce the rest of QV’s brilliant graduate class of 2022.

Over the next three years, every member of our graduate programme will received wide-ranging valuation experiences, guidance from business mentors, and support to gain their registration.

What excited you the most about the Graduate Program, and joining QV?

I had heard really positive things about QV, and had been in touch with a graduate already in the program who has had really great experiences. I really like that QV is a state owned enterprise which shows it is an essential part of New Zealand and that the company, and its work are held to a higher standard. The culture at QV seems to be really important and I like how they are focused on delivering value to clients. Most importantly I’m really passionate about rural valuation and I felt that this company and its graduate program would be a good environment to grow with.

When you’re not being an exceptional QV Grad – where would we find you?

In my spare time I can be found at home working on the family farm or down at the local Takapau watering hole.

What excited you the most about the Graduate Program, and joining QV?

The part I am most excited about starting my journey with QV is having the ability to learn such a wide range of new skills from lots of people involved in the whole company across New Zealand to develop myself as a professional.

When you’re not being an exceptional QV Grad – where would we find you?

You’d either find me playing cricket or backyard cricket with the boys in the summer (not this summer thanks to the rain) and in winter at the hockey turf or the squash courts. I do enjoy playing golf – so most of my hobbies revolve around playing sport. Always love to get over to Wanaka and on the lake during the summer holidays too (pictured above).

What excited you the most about the Graduate Program, and joining QV?

The thing that excited me the most about joining QV was to be a part of a company where all the employees treat other like family, and QV’s excellent training programme that sets up graduates very well for their registration and exam and there is a good balance between working in the office and working out of the office on inspections.

When you’re not being an exceptional QV Grad – where would we find you?

Outdoors four wheel driving and camping – or if the weather isn’t great, you can find me working on modifications for my truck.

What excited you the most about the Graduate Program, and joining QV?

I'm excited to put my degree to good use and crack into some rural valuations in the deep south

When you’re not being an exceptional QV Grad – where would we find you? I love the outdoors so I'd probably be on a tramp somewhere – see, that photo is of me on Kepler Track.

What excited you the most about the Graduate Program, and joining QV?

The mentorship and training to get each Grad registered and the opportunity to be part of a well-established and respected property valuation company. And especially QV’s focus on the rural side of Valuation.

When you’re not being an exceptional QV Grad – where would we find you? Would have to be hunting somewhere up in the Southern Alps

What excited you the most about the Graduate Program, and joining QV?

QV had the most comprehensive and well-organised graduate programme out of the many different companies across New Zealand that offer graduate roles within their company. Having set my sights on obtaining the three-year valuation license I’m excited to be taking part in such a highly recognised and reputable programme.

When you’re not being an exceptional QV Grad – where would we find you? Great Barrier Island.
